Latest Style Obsession- Fabulous Feathers!

At the moment I am obsessing over all things feathery. So glamorous, so sophisticated and perfect for spring/summer.
So take a look at my favourite finds; I could "oooh" and "aaah" at them all day...
Fist up I give you the ostrich feather mini skirt that has been featured in Grazia Magazine and also by Gok Wan on his 'Fashion Fix' programme (Make note- Its on Thursdays on Channel 4 at 8pm- not to be missed!)
This TopShop beauty is just gorgeous and the ultimate spring party skirt for £60.

Another lover of feathers is Katasha Khan from the band Bat For Lashes:

I am tempted to make my own DIY feather head band a bit like Natashas here with some feathers I have found in VV Rouleaux.
Yes I will probably get the piss taken out of me if I wear it, and get called Pocahontas but I dont care.

I could not leave out a photograph of this this outstanding wedding dress I came across on the internet. It is a dress made of 2009 peacock feathers and is also embellished with 60 Hetian Jade stones. It took 8 people 2 months to finish and not suprisingly costs $1.4 million dollars.
But on your wedding day you want all eyes to be on you so this show stopper would still be worth every penny.

Edit- Check out the Burberry prorsum feather dress photos that I have finally managed to get ahold of:

Fascinating World Of Denim Jeans

Denim has been synonymous with jeans for time immemorial. It is not possible to separate one meaning from the other. Somehow, when you say denim, people automatically assume that you are talking about denim jeans, although there are plenty of other types of denim-wear out there. Denim jeans are just the most commonly worn denim garments. As such, they have reached an iconic level.

Denim jeans are particularly important to young people of today. They are a symbol of youth, vibrancy, and utility. As such, denim jeans can be found at just about every retail store and discount mart on the market. Denim jeans have become ingrained in American culture. However, denim jeans did not get their start in America. In fact, nobody really knows just where denim jeans come from. Rumors have them originating in France, while others tout England or Italy as the birthplace of the denim jeans. What we do know is that denim jeans were originally designed for the laborer, who needed trousers that were sturdy and comfortable.

Did you know that the word Denim actually refers to a color and not a type of fabric? The color indigo is mixed with a host of other colors such as blue, gray, white, or black to give you the myriad of colors that you find denim jeans available in today. These are special hues that are found only with the denim jeans; hence, the denim came to mean jeans.

Denim jeans use about half of the total global cotton output production, which by any standard is a huge figure. This would indicate easily how famous, popular and in demand this particular garment is to society. Initially, denim jeans were only used as casual wear; however things are changing and now denim jeans are entering the boardrooms of large corporations in the form of casual-formals, Casual-formals are specifically designed for those people to whom comfort and elegance mean the same thing.

In 2004 Audigier created and launched Ed Hardy and was granted exclusive rights to the designs of Don Ed Hardy 'the Godfather of Tattoo'. Ed Hardy is now sold all over the world and is expressed as vintage tattoo wear.

The swimwear collection features the most inspiring designs in swimwear.

With a core based around the tattoos that made Ed Hardy famous; the line also includes Ed Hardy Couture which comprises of limited edition pieces that are hand embellished with Swarovski crystal.

Often referred to as the most recognizable brand in California, with stars like Britney Spears and Christina Milian already strutting the swimwear line, Ed Hardy is sure to become the most unique and recognizable swimwear brand in the marketplace.
