The Radar- Random links and things that have caught my eye this week...
I was blown away the first time I saw the Chanel Spring Summer 2010 collection but the main thing that caught my eye was the pretty illustrations of birds, pearls, chains and Chanel logos on the models going down the runway. And now Chanel are taking inspiration from the fake ink and releasing them as temporary tattoos so we can have a slice of the Chanel pretty ink action.Best of all they are self adhesive so once you get sick of them (as if you ever would get bored of a Chanel tattoo!) you can simply wash it off.
So if you are interested don't forget you can buy them at Chanel boutiques from the 1st of March.

2. Lady Gaga is the new creative director of Polaroid.
Yes really. She said that she wants to “blend the iconic history of Polaroid with the digital era” and is launching her own products which will be released later this year.
Fingers crossed she brings back the now discontinued instant Polaroid cameras!

3. Christina Hendricks who plays the amazing Joan Holloway in Mad Men got married.
Does anyone else watch it? I am addicted, roll on the series 3 boxset...
Normally I am not at all fussed about celebrity weddings (I despise OK and Hello! Magazine) but these photos are beautiful.
The costume designer for Mad Men picked out the vintage 50s dresses for the bridesmaids, only their close friends and family attended, they ate rustic Italian food and of course the bride looked stunning.
Watch out Christina I am stealing your dress and pretty veil for own my wedding day.
(Even though you already know about my Oscar De La Renta obsession)

4. The Lanvin SS10 campaign
If this was Americas Next Top Model there is no way that Tyra Banks and co. would say that the model was “was holding back” or “not giving her all.” Even the chandelier is swinging with her for goodness sake. Nice one Jamie!
5. Glee!
I think that this is going to be my new television obsession (goodbye for now Mad Men, Skins, Gossip Girl, 90210, Project Runway, ANTM and The Inbetweeners...)
I love it already after watching the amazing first episode here on E4 and this clip of Kurt doing the ‘Single Ladies’ dance when his dad walks in.
Genius.

List Mondays- Top 10 RTW Collections From Autumn Winter 2009
1. It was all Parisian gorgeousness including stunning LBD's and pretty draping at Lanvin complete with perfect shape and fit.
2. How could I possibly leave out the Louis Vuitton bunny ears that sparked their own unlikely trend.
3. Lust worthy sequins and silver sparkle at Balmain which proved that the shoulder pad trend was still going strong. (This was back when I still loved Balmain)
4. Pure and simple monochrome looks at Bottega Veneta with plenty of wardrobe staples to last you a life time. Friday, October 23, 2009
Spring Summer 2010 Roundup- My favs
Just a quick post before I dash off to a sleepover...
Here is my quick round up of my favourite looks and collection from Spring Summer 2010:
Top 3 designers:
1. Over the top ice queen awesomeness at Alexander McQueen.
2. Floral loveliness at Erdem
3. Candy stripes at Marc by Marc Jacobs

Top 3 hair:It’s all about the big hair; afros at LV, crimped craziness at mulberry and major bed head hair at House of Holland.
Top 3 bags:I am falling for the chain strap ladylike bags seen at Luella, Matthew Williamson and Chanel.

Lets go down to the fashion show, with all the pretty people that you dont know...
What with all the magazines and blogs going crazy about the autumn winter collections I thought I would look at my top 10 favourite looks from Spring Summer 2009.I mean still is summer y'know...

2. For me Luella was never going to disappoint. From the moment I laid eyes on her first ever collection I knew that she was a designer to be reckoned with. The florals, the bright colours (and of course the fascinators!) screamed summer.
3. As opposed to Luella's feminine fest of girly dresses Balmain went for a more edgy tomboy look with distressed jeans, military style jackets and a whole loada studs. I still cannot get enough of the clothes from this collection.
4. Lanvin S/S 09 was all about bold colours, asymmetrical sleeves, luxurious silks and a bit of sparkle. And how could I forget those fantastic advertisements- so far its my favourite ad campaign of the year!
5. Alexander McQueen is in at number 5 for his fantastic jewelled creations. These head to toe embellished designs are gorgeous.
6. Breezy flowing fabrics, soft tailored jackets, scalloped edged shorts and lots of bows, the S/S Chloe catwalk was pure prettiness.
7. Marc Jacobs was a winner with clinched in waists, stacks of bracelets and very cool boater hats.
8. The House of Holland collection was like a bomb of polka dots and florals had exploded on the catwalk. Henry Holland did what he is best at; quirky and cool clothing.
9. I was in love with the nautical theme at Dolce and Gabbana earlier on this year.
10. And last but not least Gareth Pugh. You can't really wear his architectural monochrome creations to the super market (though I would take my hat off to someone who did) but their impracticality does not stop me from marvelling at these designs.
Whats your number one S/S 2009 collection?
